At Waitr, we're working together with our communities and local restaurant partners to collect essential supplies to support the victims of Hurricane Laura. Read more to find out how you can help us aid the people and businesses in the Lake Charles area through donating!
Driven to Donate
We've expanded our services to accept donations through our app and website at Waitrapp.com . In addition, we are working alongside charities, the local government, and our restaurant partners to distribute these funds to those in need within Lake Charles.
For a week-long donation drive September 2nd-9th, our local restaurant partners in Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Beaumont, and Galveston are accepting donations where items can be dropped off during their regular business hours. From there, our dedicated Waitr employees are picking up these donations daily and and bringing the supplies to Lake Charles.

Going the Extra Mile
As the birthplace of Waitr, Lake Charles holds a special place in our hearts, and we are committed to continuing to serve the wonderful people of our hometown.
“There are large numbers of employees, customers, restaurants and driver partners along with others we know well in the hurricane-affected areas who need extra support getting back on their feet. Working together, we can make it happen more quickly,” said Carl Grimstad, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Waitr.
